Aims and Scope of the Journal

The Odisha Economic Journal (OEJ) is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Odisha Economics Association (OEA) bearing ISSN 0976-5409. The journal is listed in UGC CARE. The OEA has been publishing this bi-annual journal since 1968.

The journal considers empirical and theoretical research contributions in the field of economics and development studies under the following categories of manuscript:
 Research Articles
 Book Reviews/Review Articles
 Research Notes/Commentaries
 Latest Issue/Policy Centric Database

Research Articles
Original, unpublished research papers in the field of economics and development studies are welcome. Although the journal has a thrust on research concerning the socio-economics of Odisha, it accepts research articles in the Indian and global contexts as well. All figures and tables must be prepared only in MS Office (Word/ Excel) format. Word limit: Up to 8,000

Book Reviews
The OEJ commissions Book Reviews. However, scholars are welcome to submit book reviews on recently published books for consideration.
Word limit: 1,500–2,000

Review Articles
Scholars are also welcome to submit review articles based on a systematic review of literature on a specific field of research in economics and development studies.
Word Limit: Up to 6000

Research Notes/Commentaries
Short, analytical articles on topical and contemporary, economic and development issues will be considered for this section.
Word Limit: 2,000–3,000

Research Data
In order to familiarize researchers with novel/interesting data sets available in the public domain, the OEJ will publish select data and brief discussions around their relevance for research and policy.
